From November 23 to 29, 2025, a business mission from Azerbaijan to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, is scheduled. This was reported by the Africa–Azerbaijan Cooperation Organization (AFAZ). The program includes the “Ethiopia-Azerbaijan” business forum, B2B and B2G meetings, as well as visits to production facilities. Participants will meet with representatives of local business associations and government bodies.
The mission’s goal is to strengthen economic cooperation between the countries and create new partnerships.
In November of last year, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov met with Ethiopia’s State Minister Aklilu Tadess. At this meeting, the parties discussed the potential for economic cooperation, including trade, investment, and green energy. Opportunities to expand interaction between business communities, create a legal framework, and organize joint business events were also considered.
