The authorities of Equatorial Guinea are ready to host the next Russia–Africa Summit, scheduled for 2026, Foreign Minister Simeon Oyono Esono Angue said at the plenary session of the ministerial conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum.
💬“We are fully ready to continue our co-operation [with the Russian Federation], and we are ready to host the next Russia–Africa summit in our country in 2026,” Angue said, as quoted by TASS.
🔸According to the foreign minister, holding the event on the African continent could contribute to strengthening the development of relations between Russia and Africa across all areas of co-operation. He added that countries of the region are particularly interested in expanding interaction with Russia in the fields of energy, agriculture and education.
🇷🇺🌍 Lavrov: Russia ready to share digital technology developments with African countries
Russia is ready to share its developments and experience with African countries in the field of digital technologies, geological exploration, energy and other areas, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during the plenary session of the ministerial conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum.
💬“Genuine economic sovereignty is impossible without innovative technological solutions and appropriate human resources support. We are ready to offer our partners advanced developments in mechanical engineering, electric power generation, geological exploration and pharmaceuticals, as well as in high-technology sectors, including digital technologies and space exploration,” the minister said.
🔸Lavrov stressed that Russia is already involved in the construction and modernisation of energy facilities in Africa, with Russian participation covering both the building of facilities and their technical maintenance, as well as assistance with long-term operation.
