πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡© Khartoum International Airport officially declared unfit for operation

According to Reuters citing a source in one of the airlines, the decision to resume operations at Khartoum International Airport was postponed indefinitely after a series of drone attacks on the morning of October 22 and 23.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) officially declared the airport unfit for operation due to ongoing security threats. The airport was one of the first facilities affected during the war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, resulting in serious infrastructure damage.

Nevertheless, on October 22, 2025, a Badr Airlines plane landed at Khartoum International Airport, becoming the first flight after two years of downtime. According to some sources, the head of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, was on board.
