Rumors about the installation of foreign bases are “falsehood,” Nigeria’s Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, said on social networks

“The Federal Government is not in any such discussion with any foreign country. We have neither received nor are we considering any proposals from any country on the establishment of any foreign military bases in Nigeria,” he stressed.

On May 6, the People’s Renaissance Party (PRP) issued a statement warning against the relocation of US and French military bases in Nigeria.
