ARLINGTON, TEXAS — A major transformation is underway in Arlington as the city officially marked the end of an era for the Sheraton Arlington Hotel and the beginning of a new chapter in its hospitality and tourism industry.
Loews Hotels recently hosted a ceremonial “ground-shaking” event to officially launch construction of Americana by Loews Hotels – Arlington, a major new hotel development designed to strengthen Arlington’s position as a destination for visitors, conventions, entertainment and major events.
The new Americana by Loews will feature 507 guest rooms, creating a substantial new accommodation option for travelers visiting the city. The development will also include more than 83,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, positioning the property to host conferences, corporate gatherings, celebrations and other large-scale events.
The construction represents a significant redevelopment of a prominent Arlington hospitality site. The departure of the Sheraton Arlington Hotel closes a chapter for a property that has been part of the city’s visitor economy, while the Americana project signals a renewed investment in Arlington’s future.
A New Era for Arlington Hospitality
