
It is with incredible excitement that the African Music Library and Nze Ed Emeka Keazor invites you to the official Lagos premiere of Nze Ed keazor’s film “Ki’mon!: The Eastern Nigerian Afro-Funk Revolution 1970-1980.”
“Ki’mon!” chronicles the radical history of Afro-Funk music coming out of the East following the Biafran War, through rich stories from the very legends who championed the movement.
An ode to Nigeria’s rich music history, this premiere will include a film talkback featuring some of Nigeria’s greatest music industry veterans, as well as a music performance from Afro-Funk legends who have played with the likes of the Funkees, Wrinkars Experience, Fela Kuti, Victor Uwaifo, Awilo Longomba, and more.
