The Accra High Court has authorized the seizure of the iconic No. 1 Oxford Street Hotel in Osu, a luxury property associated with Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, founder of The New Force and former presidential aspirant. The court granted police assistance to a court-appointed Receiver seeking to take possession of the property as part of an ongoing debt recovery process. While the hotel’s management has appealed the ruling and insists operations remain unaffected, the case has drawn significant public attention due to Bediako’s high-profile business and political career. The legal battle is expected to continue as the appeal moves through the courts.
