A major 17 billion CFA franc investment is set to expand cotton processing and textile manufacturing, with projected annual production of millions of meters of fabric, garments, T-shirts, knitwear and socks. The project is expected to create 600 direct jobs and approximately 15,000 indirect jobs, strengthening local value addition and Africa’s industrial textile sector.
