He was welcomed by Mali’s Transitional Leader Colonel Assimi Goita in Bamako. The Senegalese leader is accompanied on his first visit to Mali by the country’s following senior officials:

🔹 Minister for African Integration and Foreign Affairs, Yacine Fall;

🔹 Minister for the Armed Forces, General Birame Diop;

🔹 Minister for Energy, Oil and Mines, Birame Souleye Diop;

🔹 Minister for Infrastructure, Land and Air Transport, Malick Ndiaye and others.

The aim of the visit is to strengthen the historic ties of good neighborliness, brotherly friendship, solidarity and multi-faceted cooperation between the two nations.
