Israel shares invasion plans for Lebanon with the US

The head of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has presented all invasion plans for Lebanon to US CENTCOM Commander Kurilla and handed over all maps of the planned maneuvers to the US Army, signaling that Israel is seriously planning to intensify operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon in the near future.

This development marks a significant escalation in Israel’s strategy toward Hezbollah, a group it has long considered a major threat. The sharing of such detailed operational plans underscores the close military cooperation between the United States and Israel, as well as the strategic importance of curbing Hezbollah’s influence in the region. According to sources familiar with the plans, the proposed operations aim to neutralize Hezbollah’s missile capabilities and dismantle its network of tunnels and fortifications along the Israeli-Lebanese border.

The decision to share these plans with the US military comes amid rising tensions and a series of border skirmishes that have heightened fears of a broader conflict. Analysts suggest that Israel is seeking US support and possibly preemptive coordination in anticipation of the international ramifications such an invasion might provoke.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has responded with warnings of severe retaliation, vowing to defend Lebanese sovereignty and accusing Israel of aggressive provocations. The potential for a major confrontation looms large, with both sides preparing for what could be the most significant escalation since the 2006 Lebanon War.

As diplomatic efforts continue to de-escalate the situation, the international community watches closely, hoping to avert a conflict that could have widespread repercussions across the Middle East.
