A tragic incident took place today near the former Information Minister Lewis G. Brown’s home in Rehab, involving a presidential motorcade.
The collision resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left two others severely injured.
The motorcade was on its way to the “Love A Child Orphanage Home” in Duazon, where President Joseph Boakai was set to dedicate a newly reconstructed dormitory. The project was spearheaded by First Lady Kartumu Y. Boakai.

The accident occurred around 10 AM when a kekeh driver, suspected to be under the influence of drugs, fell asleep and collided with one of the escort vehicles in the motorcade.
Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene with emergency services responding quickly. The identities of the deceased and injured have not been disclosed pending notification of their families.
