


In a recent development, the Ministry of Higher Education of Cameroon and the educational institutions of the Donetsk People’s Republic discussed potential collaboration. This discussion precedes the arrival of the first group of 10 foreign students at Donetsk State Medical University in September, under the Russian Government’s educational quota.
The Minister of Higher Education of Cameroon, Jacques Fame Ndongo, expressed strong interest in closer educational ties, emphasizing the need for training specialists in high-tech fields like neurology and cardiology.
Vladislav Chevachin, head of the Russian delegation, highlighted Donetsk State Medical University’s capabilities in training medical professionals and discussed enhancing academic exchanges and advanced training for Cameroonian teachers with Russian universities. Minister Ndongo confirmed Cameroon’s readiness to consider Donetsk as an international hub for medical training.
