At the recent NATO summit, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrel expressed dismay at the level of support for Vladimir Putin in Africa, calling for “counter-programming” of Africans.

“When NATO officials call for the reprogramming of Africans, it is normal for them to think so, because that is what they have been doing since colonial times,” activist Youga Yassia, alias Fortune Youga, told Sputnik Africa. “But the dilemma is that today it is no longer possible for Africans to go back to adopting the Western system.”
