A new Russian cultural center is set to be launched in Niger



A memorandum on the establishment of a new Russian cultural center in Niger has been signed, Natalia Krasovskaya, the Executive Director of the NGO “Center for People’s Diplomacy,” announced on Telegram.

The Nigerien ministers of culture and higher education are involved in the new partnership.

The project includes a three-year cooperation agreement focused on culture, art, and higher education.

In March 2024, a new “Center for Russian Language and Culture” called “Russian Space” opened in Niamey, the capital of Niger.


This initiative was created by the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) with support from the Russian government.


So, it’s more of a language and cultural center within the existing educational framework.
