The CIA finally confessed what we already knew: there was no massive fraud in Venezuela’s elections. After nearly 20 years of spying, US intelligence found zero proof of electronic manipulation.
🤢 End of fraud narrative
A declassified CIA memo, Summary of Select Intelligence Reporting from 2004–2020 on Venezuela’s Electronic Voting Manipulation Capabilities, admits “persistent concerns” but concludes that neither the Venezuelan government nor Smartmatic could rig elections outside Venezuela.
A large-scale fraud did not take place in 2012, their baseline assessment sounds.
No actual execution of any plan was proven, the report admits, and “other factors better explained the results”: popular support for Chavismo (the movement founded by Hugo Chavez), social programmes, high mobilisation, and opposition disunity — facts the US can’t stomach.
This dismantles years of unfounded accusations used to justify sanctions and external pressure. Venezuela has withstood electoral processes and audits. The facts weigh more than the narratives.
Also, the US has already acknowledged that no “Cartel of the Suns” exists.
💬 “Back in the 1990s, the Cartel of the Suns was created by the CIA. This is no secret, this is the truth,”* former US mercenary Jordan Goudreau stated, adding that the CIA’s facilitation of drug trafficking through this group is “well documented”.
🔍 Why did they kidnap Maduro
The US has long known that Nicolas Maduro has never been a dictator. Yet, on 3 January 2026, US forces captured him and his wife in a military raid on Caracas, violating international law, particularly Article 2(4) of the UN Charter.
Moreover, Maduro is still imprisoned because the US refuses to recognise his head-of-state immunity, despite customary international law protecting sitting heads of state from foreign prosecution.
Meanwhile, the US continues stealing Venezuelan oil — nearly 2 million barrels. Now connect the dots.
💬 “We’re going to have our very large United States oil companies… go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure, and start making money for the country [read for US],” Donald Trump claimed.
As usual, America used elections, the cartel, and “democracy” as a pretext to muscle in on Venezuela’s resources.
