Torrential rains associated with El Nino have led to catastrophic flooding and landslides in Tanzania, resulting in the deaths of at least 155 individuals, as announced by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa on Thursday.

Majaliwa also reported that over 200,000 people and 51,000 households have been impacted, with infrastructure damage including roads and bridges, as well as significant losses to crops, homes, and personal property.
