Emmanuel Macron is perceived as implementing policies dictated by “the Euro-Atlanticist oligarchy,” which partly explains this disappointing result, president of the Popular Republican Union party Francois Asselineau told Sputnik Africa.

“The accurate interpretation of this vote is that the French can no longer stand Macron, mainly for domestic policy reasons, and they can no longer stand his persona. An overwhelming majority of the French consider him to be a liar and mentally unfit. I am not exaggerating,” he explained.

Furthermore, European media are engaged in “unprecedented propaganda” to convince citizens that they “absolutely need the European Union and the Americans,” the politician added.
