Naomi Campbell has been barred from serving as a charity trustee due to serious mismanagement of funds linked to her charitable organization, Fashion for Relief.
The UK Charity Commission’s investigation revealed that between 2016 and 2022, only a small fraction of the charity’s expenses went towards charitable grants, with much of the funds being used for Campbell’s luxury expenses. This included a three-night stay at a five-star hotel in Cannes and high-end purchases like spa treatments and cigarettes.
The commission found that these expenses were not justifiable as charitable costs and highlighted the trustees’ failure to ensure proper oversight of fundraising. As a result, Campbell, along with two other trustees, was disqualified from holding charity trustee positions for several year.

Campbell, in response, claimed she was not in control of the day-to-day operations of the charity and expressed her concern about the findings. The charity was dissolved earlier in 2024.
