
Badr Abdel Aty is convinced that “the resolution of the Sudanese conflict must be based on the interaction and consent of internal forces without any external interference.”
At the Sudan’s civil political groups conference held in Cairo, he stressed “the need to preserve state institutions as a guarantee of the existence of a sovereign Sudan.” At the same time, he noted that “the unity of the Sudanese armed forces will be decisive for the defense of the country.”
Egyptian top diplomat also assured that Cairo continues to be in contact with the parties to the conflict and is actively cooperating with international players in order to quickly end the armed confrontation in Sudan. He called on the international community to take urgent measures to support peace initiatives to end the crisis and provide immediate humanitarian assistance to the Sudanese people.
