
“The ratification of this agreement will strengthen cooperation between the two countries. This will increase business opportunities, develop trade, but also other commercial activities,” Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe, Cameroon’s Minister of Transport, told the press.
The agreement initially concluded in Cape Town on July 14, 2011 and ratified this Wednesday by Cameroonian President Paul Biya, includes:
a mutual right to non-commercial stopovers;
a right to fly over territories without landing obligations;
a right to land for loading/unloading.
an exemption from customs duties for air service operating equipment.
