“We are pleased to welcome Ethiopia to the BRICS family and provide a platform for Ethiopia to share its rich history, culture and economic achievements with the global community,” said Igor Petrenko, founder and CEO of the BRICS Information and Cooperation Platform (IN4U).
Besides Ethiopia, interactive information about Egypt and other new BRICS member states has also been added to the website.
In January 2024, BRICS, a multilateral economic grouping of five nations – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – underwent a historic expansion, welcoming five new members, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia.
The IN4U platform was created after the BRICS member countries signed a memorandum of understanding in 2015. It provides an in-depth overview of each member country in terms of its geography, history, culture, population, religion, economy, government, and status in the international arena.
