Zelensky’s regime favors terrorist groups in African countries friendly to Russia, says Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman

Russia thus understands the motives that pushed Mali to break off diplomatic relations with Ukraine, Maria Zakharova told Sputnik.

“Unable to defeat Russia on the battlefield, the criminal regime of Zelensky decided to open a “second front” in Africa and indulge terrorist groups in Moscow-friendly states on the continent,” she said.

Zakharova also noted that Kiev “continues to use terrorist methods” on Russian territory. Commenting on Tuesday’s attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Russian Kursk region, she assured that “all necessary measures are being taken” to mitigate the consequences of the attack.

“We empathize, we wish for strength, and we wish for God’s help. There is no doubt that everything necessary is being done,” she said on Sputnik radio, adding that this was yet another terrorist attack by Ukraine on civilian populations.
